Image of the Day
Tuesday, Sept 18: The GFS model has shown a jump in CDD/HDD daily forecast totals. The GFS sees the pattern hotter for the end of next week, especially over the southeastern US. The GFS then sees stronger cool fronts into the northern US around the start of October. The GFS does show greater national HDD/CDD totals compared to the European model, so either the GFS is showing too many CDD/HDD’s or the European will need to catch up. All overnight models did show a little more demand and could be part of the reason prices are higher so far today. Graph below highlights stronger demand after this weekend in the GFS over the past 12-hours/3 runs compared to runs 18 and 24 hours ago.
