Tuesday, February 19th:  Nat gas prices seemingly rallied overnight when the GFS model trended further colder to add nearly 15 HDD’s, especially Feb 27-March 5. However, the European model didn’t agree and trended a little warmer to lose 10 HDD’s, especially Feb 28-March 5 as cold air was a little slower returning across the East. Prices eased a few cents as soon as the milder trending European model was released. Overall, both models remain solidly colder than normal the next couple of days, slightly bearish late this week into early next week, and then again solidly colder than normal Feb 28-March 5th as subfreezing conditions return to cover much of the northern 2/3rd of the US. The mid-day and afternoon weather data will be watched closely to see if the GFS trends milder or the European model flips back colder.

Cold conditions this morning across much of the US for strong national demand into Wednesday.

Thursday-Tuesday: Mild high pressure will build across the South and East late this week through the weekend. Temperatures will warm into the 40s and 50s across the Northeast and Ohio Valley, while warm with upper 60s to 80s across the southern US.

Cold is favored to cover much of the northern 2/3 of the US Feb 28-March 5 for a return to strong national demand.
