Weekend Data Trends Colder Through Nov 1, But Then Milder After

Written by on October 22, 2018 in NatGasWeather - 2 Comments

Monday: The overnight weather data held colder trends through November 1st, but continues to show a milder pattern over the southern and eastern US after. Clearly, the nat gas markets are weighing the back end of the forecast more strongly with prices down sharply to open the week. The graph below shows forecasted daily national HDD/CDD totals for the next 15-days from last nights European Ensemble highlighting above 30-year average HDD totals through Nov 1-2 with strong national demand, then dropping below normal as high pressure builds over the East.  The images under it highlight the cooler than normal national pattern east of the Rockies through Nov 1.
