The current temperatures over the central US this morning show nicely how far the Arctic front has pushed south.  With lows of teens into northern Texas and single digits and 0F over the Rockies and northern Plains, heating demand will be very strong over the central US.  It will remain mild for one more day over the East Coast waiting on the front to arrive early Thursday with highs today reaching the 60s and 70s.
