Tuesday, June 19:  After the weather data trended hotter over the weekend for a higher open, there were some cooler trends that showed up Monday for next week, especially over the north-central US as a weather systems cuts through the ridge (image above).  This weakened the overall ridge somewhat to lose a few Cooling Degree Days (CDD’s), but its still a very warm pattern especially over the southern US with highs of 90s to 100s.  We see prices selling off Monday on reports of fresh record production, a touch less impressive heat with the upper ridge next week, and profit taking after the recent run up.
