Strong Spring Storm To Hammer US Friday
A strong storm will slowly track out of central and into the eastern US today with a variety of weather conditions occurring. Heavy snowfall of more than 6″ will continue over portions of the Midwest where enough cold air remains in place to lead to a icy mess. Further south where milder conditions remain, showers and strong thunderstorms are expected, especially during the afternoon’s peak heating, which could lead to severe weather such as tornadoes and hail. The center of the low will track toward New England overnight while gradually fizzling. Chilly conditions will follow in the storms wake this weekend before another weather systems spins up over the south-central US Monday.
