Strong Spring Storm Brings Cooling

Cooler temperatures will spill across the central and northern US in the days ahead as a strong Spring storm rolls through.  There will be heavy showers and violent thundestorms along the cool front, which will be most dangerous in the afternoon and evenings.  With cooling over the northern US, heating demand will marginally increase this week as overnight lows drop into the 30s and 40s.  In additiona, there will be heavy showers assoctiated what's left of tropical system Ana.

There will be heavy showers and violent thunderstorms along the cool front, which will be most dangerous in the afternoon and evenings. With cooling over the northern US, heating demand will marginally increase this week as overnight lows drop into the 30s and 40s. In addition, there will be heavy showers associated what’s left of tropical system Ana.  Cooling will also spill into Texas, easing power burn, although the Southeast will still be a bit warm with highs near 90F.
