The first real cold blast of the season will sweep into the Eastern US today through this weekend.  This will drop overnight lows into the 20s and 30s, driving much stronger demand for heating.  The image shows temperature anomalies Saturday with the East 10-18F colder than normal and the west mostly mild besides a weather system with showers over the SW.
