Warm high pressure over the eastern US today will give way to a weather system and associated cold front tracking through the west-central US Friday. With highs into the 60s and 70s over the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, temperature anomalies will run 10-25F above normal.  While over the West, temperatures will be colder than normal with areas of rain and mountain snow.   By this weekend, the East will be below normal as the cool front sweeps through, while a new weather system begins to drop into the West Coast.
