Milder US Pattern Arrives

Tuesday, December 11:  Temperatures over the next 7-days will be warmer than normal over most of the country. The exception will be the southern US where there will be a mix between mild conditions and a weather system tracking through later in the week with rain, snow, and cooling, but averaging out to near normal over the 7-days.  This will lead to lighter than normal national demand.  Image shows temperatures vs normal averaged over the next 7-days with mostly warm/red colors.  This milder than normal pattern is likely to last through around Dec 22-23 before better potential for colder air out of Canada arrives.
