Mild Break Much of the US Nov 23-26, Then Will Cold Return?

Friday, November 16:  High pressure is expected to set up between weather systems Nov 23-26, and where milder trends and the loss of demand has been observed since yesterday as much of the country warms above normal (1st image below).  Most of the weather data continues to see cold shots returning into the US Nov 27-30, while not backing off in the overnight data in either the GFS or European models.  Although, there remain important details in need of resolving, specially, just how cold, which regions will be impacted greatest, and what sort of breaks will occur between cold shots/weather systems. Most of the data suggests the west-central US will see cold air arrive first, then spreading across the eastern half of the country as national demand again increases to near or stronger than normal. The weather data has been struggling on exactly how the milder break Nov 23-26th will play out, so what happens after is subject to weather model struggles as well.
