Hot Week For Most of US

Monday:  Hot high pressure over the eastern half of the country to open the week will gradually expand westward. Under the ridge, temperatures will be hot with highs of 90s to 100s for strong demand. Chicago is a little cooler today and back into the 80s, but will return into the 90s Tue-Thu. NYC will be hot through Thursday with 90s. Overall, stronger than normal demand with the southern and eastern US reaching the 90s and 100s. Image shows the upper level pattern Tuesday as hot high pressure shifts towards the West.
