Wednesday, August 1st:  It will be quite hot over most of the country late this weekend into early next week with hot high pressure dominating with widespread highs of upper 80s to 100s.  However, the weather data trended a little cooler over the past 12-24 hours in regards to a weather system tracking across the Midwest and Northeast around Aug 8-10. The weather data had backed off on this system Monday, but flipped a little cooler Tuesday and last night and could be reason for the recent slide in prices off highs from yesterday morning.   The first image shows hot high pressure dominating most of the US Sat-Tue.  The second image shows the upper pattern around August 9, highlighting a weather system into the Northeast, while still very warm to hot over the rest of the country.
