Wednesday:  Heating Degree Days (HDD’s) have been much lighter than normal to start the heating season.  The graph highlights how accumulated HDD’s since Oct 1 have been considerably below normal, and also below last year, which was a much milder winter than normal winter.  The red line shows accumulated so far, while the green line represents NatGasWeather.com’s forecast HDD’s for the next 2 weeks and shows the curve flattening over the next several days due to mild weather but then steepening as colder air is expected November 10-15th.
