Friday, March 15:  The overnight weather data was mixed with some datasets slightly colder and others a touch milder, but still to the colder than normal side this weekend and much of next week, followed by mild to warm temperatures gaining territory across much of the country March 22-28 , enough so to likely lead to the first weekly storage build of the year. The images highlight a cool pattern for much of the US early next week with widespread lows of teens to 30s. The second image shows how after next week forecast heating degree days from both the important GFS and European models drop to near or below normal as much of the country becomes mild to warm with only locally cool areas.  This is likely to result in the first build of the year.
