Monday, July 23:  The weekend weather data was cooler trending for the last few days of July into the first few days of August seeing a weather system push deeper into the US, impacting eastern Texas and the South with cooling to ease recent extreme heat. It will remain very hot over the West into W. Texas, while also very warm at times over the East Coast.  But for solidly bullish weather patterns to return, hot high pressure will need to build return over the northern and east-central US.
