Tropical cyclone Gordon will strengthen modestly over the eastern Gulf of Mexico today before making landfall near the Louisiana and Mississippi border tomorrow. The storm could briefly become a hurricane but the impacts from the storm are expected to play out bearish through demand destruction from clouds, showers and cooling across the southern US, losing CDD’s compared to what the data advertised last week. Prices are likely lower this Tuesday morning after the long holiday weekend due to bearish impacts from Gordon and from reports of weekend production setting fresh all-time record highs.
